you will have to put the name in - there are 4 color stops - that is so you can be creative - you will add the back for the stocking before the last color stop.

10 Thank you, these are very cute! I,m going to have my whole tree filled next year with FSL,s and things I've embroidered, so keep the ideas coming, please.

162 Thank you very much. I made a lot of them
already and sent them instead of
Christmas-cards. In some of them I putted a
little present.
Before the last stop, I added a lining, so
that you can't see the threads.
They are very lovely.
Thank you.
by shirlener88 28 Dec 2009 wickywitch, how wonderful that you added the lining - great touch - so happy you enjoyed it. *4U

13676 Shirlene I've made so many of these for our family using different lettering, changing designs to fit the stocking according to each person's sport/likes, etc....they all are so adorable, they can be addictive. Thank you for sharing them with us. Happy Holidays too.

52 These stockings are so cute, so quick to make and with lots of imagination and even 'beads' they turn out precious. Excellent for money, for gift cards and even a 'thank you' note for something special. I've used metallic threads, special fonts and the final product has been beautiful. thank you Shirlene for sharing your talents with us........
662 Thank you so much for these very cute little stockings. I stitched up 2 last night as gifts and they stitched up wonderfully using no stabilizer. I rearranged the stitching order so I could do both fronts before adding the back, Just have to figure out how to put more in a hoop so I have less wasted felt. Can't decide whether to use them as ornaments or pins. Ruth
by shirlener88 21 Nov 2009 Ruth, I am glad you enjoyed them and want to use them for more than just credit card holders, too. *4U

2263 Hi
I just embroider the little red Christmas
sockings. They really turned out nice. I
just embroider the front side out of felt
and than put another piece of felt on the
back side and sew around the on the front
side seam. They are really nice to put
gift cards in. Thank you for sharing
pattern.
by shirlener88 12 Nov 2009 Verdeen, so happy to hear that you enjoyed the project - I am happy they worked out for you, too. *4U
by eggyannie 21 Nov 2009 neat idea while emb machine is sewing out one load you can use the utlilty machine to put on the backs and ribbons of those allready created. talk about a fast turn around
by shirlener88 21 Nov 2009 actually - you can do that all on the embroidery machine - in the final stitch - it is meant for you to put the ribbon and the backing on - in the hoop.
